This worksheet guides the district nominating committee and its staff adviser through their important responsibilities, including a confidential review of current personnel and preparation of the report for the annual meeting of the district. District Committee Training Workshop, No. 34160D:
No district or council can do without this complete package for planning and conducting the half-day basic training course. The District Committee Training Workshop meets the basic training need of members of the district committee. The workshop also results in a well-coordinated and dedicated group of Scouters committed to achieving the mission of the council and its districts. In addition, the workshop helps initiate a working relationship between council and district personnel. The workshop includes several important total group sessions as well as a series of two-hour concurrent, breakout sessions for specific district committee assignments. There are breakout sessions for each of seven operating committees, the district Key 3, and for new-unit organizers. Because of your use of this workshop, many more youth will join Scouting, and the units in your district will provide a better program for the youth they serve.
